Cult Gifts are additional powers and abilities that are granted to members of a cult with high enough favor scores. The higher a character's favor, the more gifts that are bestowed by the patron cult.
Each gift has a "favor threshold" value. The character's favor with his cult must be equal to or greater than the threshold for the character to have access to the gift. If the character's favor falls below the threshold for the gift, the ability to use the gift will be removed.
The first gift granted is access to the cult's specific language. This will allow the character to speak in such a manner that will only be understood by other members of that same cult.
Later gifts will include bonuses to attack, defense, and soak.
Some gifts will bestow Character Points upon the character. These bonuses are only ever given once, and will remain even if the character's favor falls below the gift's threshold.
Additionally, each cult has four specific "power" gifts. These gifts are similar to and operate almost identically to skills. The powers granted are unique to the specific cult and are explained in greater detail on the individual cult's profile page.
