Cult Help

Cults are organizations that are devoted to the service of an Elder Power - those abstract beings who represent the true power in the Nexus. There are a total of nine cults, three for each alignment.

Cults add a degree of complexity to the gameplay of Nexus War and are an entirely optional part of the ruleset. Characters who are members of a cult have access to additional powers and abilities, but must also be aware of their targets, lest they incur disfavor with the their patron cult.

Characters may not join a cult until they have reached level 20 and taken a tier three character class. Once a character has joined a cult, he will always be a member of that cult, and will be unable to leave: he is forever dedicated to that Power.

To join a cult, the character must journey to the cult's shrine and dedicate himself there.

Membership to any cult is restricted to the characters of the "core" alignment of that cult: only Angelic characters may join the cults of Baraas, Alonai, or Namm; only Demonic characters may join the cults of Tholaghru, Agh-Za-Haru, or Tlacolotl, and only Transcendant characters may join the cults of Hashaa, Goros, or Marquai.
