There exists no greater fighter in the Nexus than the Eternal Soldier. They are the ultimate in military prowess and they achieve this power by studiously focusing on the Cosmic forces of the Nexus itself.
The powers of the Eternal Soldier are almost all based around combat and are learned through deep study and philosophy. They are akin to warrior-monks and even the dread Infernal Behemoths owe them respect.
| | | Elite Attack (30 CP)  Your knowledge of combat has further increased. Your attacks are even more damaging. This ability adds a permanent, innate damage bonus of +2 to all attacks performed by the character with any weapon. It does not apply to spell attacks but it does apply to enhanced attacks. This ability stacks with Strong Attack. |
| | | The Way of Air (30 CP)  You have become more adept with every method of inflicting death: the air whispers your name in passing. Your understanding of combat is second to none, and your chances to hit with any weapon (including hand-to-hand attacks) have improved dramatically. |
| | | The Master of the Iron Fist (60 CP)  Even in failure, you learn to adapt to your opponent's defenses. Your ability to hit other characters with the same hand-to-hand attack increases every time you miss an attack. Whenever the Eternal Soldier misses a target, if he attacks the same target with the same weapon as his next action, his chance to hit increases by 5%. This effect will continue to stack as long as the same weapon and target is chosen. This ability only works versus other characters. If the Soldier makes a successful attack, the bonus is reset to 0. This ability only works with innate, hand-to-hand weapons. This ability is permanent and always active. |
| | | The Master of the Sunlit Eye (60 CP)  Even in failure, you learn to adapt to your opponent's defenses. Your ability to hit other characters with the same ranged weapon increases every time you miss an attack. Whenever the Eternal Soldier misses a target, if he attacks the same target with the same weapon as his next action, his chance to hit increases by 5%. This effect will continue to stack as long as the same weapon and target is chosen. This ability only works versus other characters. If the Soldier makes a successful attack, the bonus is reset to 0. This ability only works with ranged weapons. This ability is permanent and always active. |
| | | The Master of the Swirling Blade (60 CP)  Even in failure, you learn to adapt to your opponent's defenses. Your ability to hit other characters with the same melee weapon increases every time you miss an attack. Whenever the Eternal Soldier misses a target, if he attacks the same target with the same weapon as his next action, his chance to hit increases by 5%. This effect will continue to stack as long as the same weapon and target is chosen. This ability only works versus other characters. If the Soldier makes a successful attack, the bonus is reset to 0. This ability only works with melee weapons (including swords). This ability is permanent and always active. |
| | | The Way of Earth (30 CP)  You have toughened your body to withstand great injury. You have developed a natural armor to most forms of attack. This is excellent protection, and is always active. |
| | | The Way of Fire (30 CP)  You are capable of generating extremely powerful attacks. You are able to charge your attacks with your innate understanding of the Nexus. This is a devastating attack but costs a significant amount of Magic Points. |
| | | The Way of Lightning (30 CP)  You are capable of tapping into your inner power, enabling you to move with great speed. This skill grants the Eternal Soldier the ability to enter a hastened state. The Eternal Soldier may then move across the ground at super-speeds. This speed is so great that the character is able to run over water. |
| | | The Way of the Accurate Hand (30 CP)  Your skills with thrown weapons are exceptional. This ability increases the Eternal Soldier's attack chance with thrown weapons by 5% and increases the damage of successful strikes by 1 point. This is an innate ability and always active. |
| | | The Way of the Antitoxin (30 CP)  You have trained your body to resist all manner of poisons. The Eternal Soldier is no longer affected by poisons of any type (including that produced by Defilers). |
| | | The Way of the Armorer (30 CP)  You are exceptionally skilled at crafting ammunition. This skill reduces the Action Point cost for crafting ammunition by 2. It stacks with any other AP reducing skill for ammunition crafting. |
| | | The Master of the Hidden Storehouse (60 CP)  You are exceptionally gifted at making the best with what you have and may repair your broken weapons in the field. This ability grants the Eternal Soldier the ability to repair damaged weaponry in any location - he does not need access to a forge or gunsmithing workbench. Further, the character no longer requires a toolkit for making arrows or bows. The character must have the Repair Item skill, however. |
| | | The Way of the Whirlwind (30 CP)  You know how to use your feet as devastating weapons. This skill permanently increases the damage done by kick attacks by 3 points. |
| | | The Master of Hidden Energy (60 CP)  Your understanding of the martial arts has moved into the supernatural, and you are able to harness your internal power to devastating effect. This ability allows the Eternal Soldier to adapt the damage type output of his hand-to-hand attacks to that of his choosing. This activity costs a small number of Magic Points but no additional Action Points. The Eternal Soldier can choose to change his damage type to Piercing, Slashing, Ballistic, Cold, Fire, Electrical, or Nexal. |
| | | The Master of the Martial Form (60 CP)  Your understanding of martial arts has no equal. This skill grants the Eternal Soldier an innate +5% attack bonus to all hand-to-hand attacks. Additionally, the character will gain access to two new attack forms: a 'Soft Strike', which deals an additional +3 points of damage above his or her normal fist damage at a +5% to hit, and a 'Cobra Strike', which deals an additional 5 points of damage above his or her normal fist damage at a -5% to-hit penalty. |
| | | The Way of Void (30 CP)  Your understanding of the arts of combat is such that simply by being within your presence your allies are able to utilize some of your knowledge. Members of your same faction that are in the same square as you are granted an additional bonus to their attack rolls as long as you are present. This is always active. |
| | | The Way of Water (30 CP)  You possess a mystical ability to detect and deflect attacks. With this ability, your foes will have greater difficulty in hitting you with all attacks. |
