Dark Oppressors are true demons. They are the ruling class of demonkind, cruelly Machiavellian and political.
They are less powerful when away from their home plane of Stygia. However, the fact that they control the fire pits lends testament to their power: within that frozen plane they are nigh unstoppable, with high innate bonuses to all combat-related abilities.
| | | Agony Curse (30 CP)  You are capable of inflicting your inner hatred upon another in the form of a lasting, vile, curse of pain. This skill allows the character to inflict an Agony Curse on another individual. The Agony Curse will cause them to suffer intense, horrible agony for 12 hours, during which time they are unable to be healed. If your victim is hurt (such as from an attack), they will suffer extra, unsoakable damage that you will gain Experience Points for. Further, they will lose Magic Points with activity. |
| | | Caustic Horns (30 CP)  Your association with the forces of darkness has caused a pair of elongated, extremely sharp horns to grow from your forehead. This skill grants the character an innate gore attack. The gore attack does decent damage and has a chance to infect the victim with a minor poison. |
| | | Cosmic Affinity (30 CP)  Your understanding of magic has brought you more in tune with the cosmos. This skill increases the character's maximum Magic Point total by 15 points. |
| | | Cut the Silver Cord (30 CP)  Your commanding presence is strong enough to sometimes banish single pets. This ability grants the Dark Oppressor the ability to banish a single pet. The Dark Oppressor must land a touch attack on the pet in question. The banishment may not always succeed; more powerful pets have a better chance to resist the banishment. |
| | | The Voice that Cowers (60 CP)  Your mastery of fear enables you to force large numbers of pets to cower and do nothing. This is an area-of-effect attack that, if successful, will cause any pet that is affected by the power to be forced into a 'passive' stance. Affected pets will remain passive until control is re-asserted by the pet's true master. This skill requires a great deal of Magic Points to use and a significant number of Action Points. |
| | | Dark Face of Chaos (90 CP)  You are capable of summoning the raw evil chaos and inflicting it about an area, causing all lesser creatures to become highly aggressive and hostile. This is an area-of-effect attack that, if successful, will cause any pet that is affected by the power to be forced into an 'aggressive' stance. Affected pets will remain aggressive until control is re-asserted by the pet's true master. This skill requires an incredible amount of Magic Points to use and a significant number of Action Points. |
| | | Touch of Corrupted Loyalty (60 CP)  Your facility of command is such that you are sometimes able to taint the souls of pets, stealing their loyalties. This ability grants the Dark Oppressor the ability to steal a single pet from a pet master. The pet will be fully under the Dark Oppressor's control for the duration that it exists. The pet may not retain all of its normal abilities; the corrupting taint sometimes permanently alters the stolen pet. Some pets are more difficult to steal than others, so the attack may not always succeed. Tainted pets may not be rejuvenated as they have lost connection to their magical source. The Dark Oppressor may only steal one pet at a time. |
| | | Enchant Armor (30 CP)  You are capable of binding magics into armor, making it more powerful and useful. This skill allows the character to imbue most types of armor with magical properties. The amount any one suit of armor can be enchanted depends on the armor itself. This skill requires a great deal of Magic Points and becomes more difficult the more a suit of armor has been enchanted. |
| | | Enchant Weapon (30 CP)  You are capable of binding magics into weapons, making them more powerful. This skill allows the character to imbue most weaponry with magical properties. The amount any one weapon can be enchanted depends on the weapon itself. This skill requires a great deal of Magic Points and becomes more difficult the more a weapon has been enchanted. |
| | | Leathern Wings (30 CP)  Hellish forces have twisted your body so that a pair of leathery bat wings have grown from your back. You are capable of flying with them. This is a click-toggle power. When active, you may fly over any location easily. |
| | | Life Vampire (30 CP)  You are able to draw out the life-force of your enemies and store it away for later consumption. This skill allows the Dark Oppressor to suck the life from his foe. Upon a successful hit, the target will suffer damage and the magic of the power will create a Blood Ice power gem, which can later be used by the Dark Oppressor to recover lost Hit Points. This is a touch attack. |
| | | Soul Vampire (60 CP)  You are able to draw out the magical energies of your enemies and store it away for later consumption. This skill allows the Dark Oppressor to suck the magic from his foe. Upon a successful hit, the target will suffer Hit Point damage and the magic of the power will transform the blood lost into a Soul Ice power gem, which can later be used by the Dark Oppressor to recover lost Magic Points. This is a touch attack. |
| | | Terrifying Aspect (30 CP)  Your body and soul have become so twisted by the forces of evil that those who gaze upon you are stricken with fear. All foes attempting to attack you will suffer a negative to their to-hit chances due to your horrifying visage. This is an innate, permanent power. |
| | | Unholy Stain (30 CP)  You are capable of removing the magical power left in a location by your foes. This skill grants the character the ability to de-infuse an area by 3 points for every Action Point spent. This ability does not infuse a location towards the demon's faction; it only removes existing infusions. |
